Bryce Smith aka "sɴᴜɢᴢᴄᴇᴘᴛɪᴏɴ" is an up-and-coming multi-genre DJ and producer based out of Seattle, WA who produces genre-bending mashups and hypnotic bass grooves. Starting with music at the age of 9 on trumpet in concert band and then picking up bass guitar for jazz band 2 years later, they have been immersed with different kinds of music performance throughout their life.  Through the rough first years of the pandemic, Bryce attended renegades out in the mountains with friends and  fell in love with mixing instantly. 

Mashups have always been a staple of sɴᴜɢᴢᴄᴇᴘᴛɪᴏɴ sets. Having an affinity for alt rock through their formative years, they always wanted to make some of those lyrics more accessible to people who prefer bass-heavy music. Creating genre-bending mashups is the perfect opportunity to give people another chance to connect with music they might otherwise gloss over or even reconnect with songs they haven't heard in years through a new lens.  Some common epithets echoed by attendees of sɴᴜɢᴢ sets is that they are nostalgic and hypnotizing. 

Music is such an amazing catalyst for the feeling of connection and being able to orchestrate the envelope of that feeling for others is pure bliss. sɴᴜɢᴢᴄᴇᴘᴛɪᴏɴ hopes to pull in kindred souls from across the planet to join for a journey of critical reflection, self discovery, and healing as we release our worry and grief that no longer serves us through auditory exhibition. In an effort to bring people closer together, we'll broadcast love on every frequency. Let me wrap you in waves of synth and bass to assure you that everything will be ok, then launch you to new heights for you to see your new potential.

After playing their first show at High Dive in Fremont and finding ways to work their way on stage at festivals as a fill in, Bryce has been continuously inspired to hone their skills in hopes of becoming a more prominent player in the field.
